Fashion has spent the past few years at the center of the corporate culture wars, and the ground is shifting fast. According to Gravity Research data reported by CNN, 39% of major companies planned to scale back Pride Month engagement in 2025 — up from just 9% a year earlier — and apparel retailers were among the most visible names going quiet. Others doubled down: Newsweek reported that more than 99% of Levi Strauss shareholders voted in April 2025 to keep the company's DEI programs, with a new Pride collection following weeks later. When the same T-shirt can come from a brand that funds activism or one that just makes clothes, knowing the difference matters.
