Its environmental and sustainability commitments are thorough by tech industry standards.

On diversity and inclusion, Zendesk maintains formal DEI programs including a diversity council, Employee Communities (their term for ERGs), the Zendesk Inclusion Index to measure DEI impact, and leadership development programs specifically designed to advance underrepresented groups. The company was recognized as a 2022 "Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion" and openly shares salary ranges for all roles globally as part of its equity commitments.

Zendesk has celebrated Pride since 2014 and is a signatory of the Business Statement Opposing Anti-LGBTQ+ Legislation.
