How woke is Intel?

Intel Corporation is rebooting its diversity and inclusion efforts with the #INTELPROUD initiative, aiming to rewire its workforce and the broader tech landscape. Led by CEO Brian Krzanich, this program is circuiting ambitious targets like full workforce representation and expanding diversity in its supply chain, alongside a $300 million investment to diversify its U.S. workforce. The plan includes boosting LGBTQ visibility through Employee Resource Groups and launching a global ally campaign, though some might see these moves as Intel programming more political correctness into its operating system than necessary. Moreover, Intel has committed $1 million to “anti-racism efforts”, aligning with Silicon Valley’s trendy social justice circuits, which skeptics might view as Intel investing in virtue signaling chips rather than focusing solely on technological innovation.
