How woke is Allstate?

Allstate PRIDE is an Employee Resource Group (ERG) that promotes a positive and inclusive work environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, aromantic, and agender employees and their allies.

Allstate asked us to create an affinity campaign for the LGBT market. Working with the insight that holding hands in public — a show of affection completely taken for granted by straight couples — can be stressful for gay couples, and we created the social campaign #outholdinghands.

It’s easy to cast a cynical eye at corporate attempts to court the favors of the LGBTQ community, especially when they come off as tokenistic in their approach. But in recent months, we’ve seen a surge of commercials and ad campaigns that feel, even to my cold, jaded heart, like they’re coming from a pretty genuine place.

In celebration of Black History Month, Allstate Insurance Company today announced the launch of its annual digital, social and radio campaign, "Worth Telling." This year, the campaign spotlights three African Americans who are making a positive impact on society and inspiring others.

Allstate Insurance Company is launching its new Spanish-language advertising campaign “Viviendo en Buenas Manos” (Living in Good Hands). The campaign is a celebration of the life journey of Hispanics in the United States.
