Aldo's is an Italian-American restaurant at 8459 Memphis Ave. in Brooklyn, Ohio 44144, just outside Cleveland. It opened more than three decades ago under the late Aldo Zappa, and the kitchen still runs on his guiding principle: to "bring out complexity within simplicity." The menu is the traditional canon done carefully — sauteed calamari, mussels marinara, eggplant Parmigiana, pasta with meatballs or sausage, chicken and veal preparations, and Zuppa di Pesce. The restaurant calls itself "one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in town" and notes there is "nothing standard about how Aldo's prepares" those dishes.
