BBC Unveiled the Electric Jaguar. 97.5K Looked. 117 Liked.

By BuyWokeFree Editorial

On October 7, BBC News put a card on X that does the relaunch in one line: "From 'woke' ridicule to real car — new electric Jaguar unveiled." Radar counted 103 replies, 23 reposts, 117 likes, and 97.5K views. People opened it. Almost nobody stamped it. A view count is not a delivery report. 117 likes is not a boycott scoreboard.

Jaguar is in the Buy Woke Free file. The row is still in content review, so this post will not print a live score. If you need a number you can quote tonight, use a published automaker. Start with Non-Woke Automobile Brands or Non-Woke Electric Vehicle Brands. The unveil is news. The score is not finished.

The receipt, and only the receipt

Card order on Radar is replies, reposts, likes, views. For that BBC post the order is 103, 23, 117, and 97.5K. The text on the card is the unveil line above. It does not name a sales figure. It does not name a loss. It puts woke in quotes and treats the new electric car as the answer to years of ridicule.

The brand page already has a dated predecessor. The file records Jaguar's November 2024 "Copy Nothing" rebrand as a campaign widely criticized as woke virtue-signaling. The October 2026 card is the sequel pitch: the ads were the joke, here is the car. That pitch can be fair about the sheet metal and still tell you nothing about the programs behind the badge.

Do not turn 97.5K into a flop. Nobody on this card published deliveries, reservations, or a margin. Do not turn 117 likes into proof a boycott already worked. News-link cards get looked at and left alone. That is the format. On the figure Radar printed, 97.5K views, 117 likes is 0.12 percent. Keep the pair. Drop the fan fiction.

Why the score stays off the quote

Content review means the number is a working draft. Dropping a draft into a headline, a poll, or a reply pretends the check is done. Parent-company sustainability language, Pride history, and political giving are the items that review still has to re-date against 2025 and 2026. A lot of companies renamed or cut those programs in that window. An older snapshot is not a current receipt. Say this and stop: the brand is in the file, and the live score is not.

The BBC card does not close that review. A newsroom using the word woke does not publish our number. The crowd that opened the unveil does not publish it either. When the review ships, the number goes on the brand page. Until then, leave it off the quote.

Published scores in the same aisle

The car on the card is electric. The useful comparison is other automakers whose scores are already published, not the loudest unrelated post on the tab.

Stellantis scores 70, woke, published. The dated receipt on the page is Jeep at Motor City Pride in June 2025. The file sets that appearance against rival automakers that retreated, and it still describes a legacy DEI program, reframed toward "meritocracy" language. Current HRC participation is marked unverified. Seventy is the number you can print. June 2025 is the receipt. Do not weld a separate business headline onto this score and call it a loss.

Ford scores 66, woke, published. The page cites Pride advertising and DEI programs as the weight on that score. This post is not a rerun of an older press cycle. Sixty-six is published. That is the figure.

Tesla scores 20, mildly woke, published. The file says the company dismantled its DEI and LGBTQ+ programs after 2023. What still registers is the sustainability reporting, not an active Pride sponsorship and not a DEI office. Twenty is not a trophy. It is a published electric-vehicle score you can set next to a car that does not have a published score yet.

Honda scores 10, mildly woke, published. The page notes annual diversity reports and low-key Pride flag-raisings at U.S. facilities, and it records no verified 2025 HRC Corporate Equality Index 100. No rainbow marketing campaign is on the file. Ten means present and quiet. Not invisible. Not a campaign brand.

Nissan scores 10, mildly woke, published. The file says Nissan withdrew from Pride sponsorships in 2025 and ended diversity-based hiring after a late-2024 reversal, and that ESG reporting is what remained. Ten is not a blank page. A blank page would be unscored. Ten means the retreat is written down and the score moved with it.

What 117 likes does not settle

A blunt boycott call can collect thousands of likes on a fraction of these views, even when the card never states a cause. The Jaguar card did the other thing. A news link. A huge open count. A small like count. Read that as format, not as a profit-and-loss statement. 0.12 percent is a crowd that looked and kept walking.

  • 117 likes is not a sales miss. The card has no delivery number.
  • 97.5K views is not an endorsement. Opening a headline is cheap.
  • The word woke in a BBC line does not publish a Buy Woke Free score.
  • A Canada boycott card on the same tab names no brand. Do not pin it on Jaguar.

What to do with the unveil

If the search is "is Jaguar woke," the file's answer this week is incomplete on purpose. Open the brand page, see that the review is open, and do not fill the blank in a reply with a number you saw somewhere else.

If the search is which published automaker scores lower, the file already answers. Honda and Nissan sit at 10. Tesla sits at 20. Ford sits at 66. Stellantis sits at 70. Those five are published. Jaguar is not in that sentence as a figure.

Rank the published file, not the crowd. A 70 and a 66 are woke on our scale. A 20 and a 10 are mildly woke. None of those labels means the car is a bad car. They mean the company still runs, or already cut, the programs the score measures. The unveil asks you to skip that step and judge the sculpture. The sculpture is what the 97.5K came to see. The score is why this site exists.

Paint and range are not the score. The score is programs, spending, and campaigns, checked against a date you can name. BBC checked the reveal. Radar checked the crowd. Neither of those checks in as a woke score. Shop the published names, and wait for the Jaguar number to be a published number before you quote one.
