The number moving today is not a new score. Electronic Arts already has one. IGN's October 23 post is the receipt: EA is closing BioWare, the next Mass Effect is canceled, and fans are calling for a boycott of all EA products. That card is 1,383 replies, 1,526 reposts, 11.6K likes, and 346.9K views. IGN posted the same claim on October 26 at 334 replies, 377 reposts, 3,273 likes, and 93.9K views. Two cards. Not a sum. Adding 346.9K to 93.9K invents a figure that was not on the screen.
The view king is not the receipt
The most-viewed post is not the news report. On October 22, Libs of TikTok stated the shutdown and added a culture claim. That line belongs to the account that wrote it. This page will not adopt the wording. The card is 780 replies, 1,735 reposts, 26.4K likes, and 959.8K views. Outrage out-viewed the news post, 959.8K to 346.9K.
A reply at 23K views disputes the line that "woke killed it" and cuts off at "live service,". The sentence stops there. We will not finish it, and we will not referee a fight the page did not finish. A separate post at 1,830 views says EA deserves a medal for axing BioWare. Applause is not a boycott, not a second campaign, and not a DEI verdict. One news report asked fans to boycott the catalog. The medal post did not.
No dollar loss for BioWare or Electronic Arts is on this capture. The figure is n/a. A round number traveling as the cost of the closure will not be filled in here.
The file already said 80
Electronic Arts scores 80. The label is extremely woke. The row is published. BioWare is not a separate row. Closing the studio does not mint a BioWare score, and it does not move the 80. Print 80. What was the surprise?
The published profile is a file, not a mood. It records a perfect 100 and the Equality 100 Award on the Human Rights Campaign's 2026 Corporate Equality Index, and it notes that EA stayed in that index while Fortune 500 participation collapsed 65 percent. Pride content still ships in The Sims. Apex Legends still carries an LGBTQ+ roster. Since May 2024, DEI language has been scrubbed from the annual filings and the Impact Report. The DEI Council is still there. Seven employee resource groups, including PRIDE, are still there. The words left the PDF. The council did not. The same profile says EA runs no corporate PAC and has done no federal lobbying since 2010. That limit belongs in the writeup. It is not a pardon. An 80 with no PAC is still an 80.
Set that next to the boycott ask. Fans, as IGN reported it, want every EA product boycotted. The company that owns those products was already scored extremely woke, in public, with a number. A closure can be news. A cancellation can be news. Neither one is a revelation about the politics. The politics were on the brand page before either IGN card.
What "all EA products" means
The October 23 post is not a request to skip one canceled sequel. Sitting out a game that is not coming is not a boycott. The ask is a boycott of all EA products: live games still on the store, sports releases still on the calendar, and the back catalog that keeps the publisher's name after a studio door closes. A shopper who only mourns one sequel has not done what the 346.9K post asked. A shopper who treats the closure as proof the score just moved has not read the file. The October 26 card repeats the ask at 93.9K views. Same claim. Smaller card. Both numbers stay, and they stay separate.
The console is a separate file
Leaving EA's catalog does not leave you a neutral store. The games are still sold on consoles with their own rows.
PlayStation scores 90, extremely woke, published. The profile records a verified 100 on the 2026 HRC Corporate Equality Index, nine consecutive years of Tokyo Rainbow Pride sponsorship, Pride@PlayStation networks, DEIB hiring goals, and Global Social Justice Fund programming. It cites OpenSecrets on Sony's 2024 party-coded giving: roughly 95 percent Democratic. Step off EA and stay in that store, and the number goes from 80 to 90. If the point of the boycott is the politics, a different logo is not a pardon.
Xbox is its own published row at 80, also extremely woke. This is not a Microsoft article, and a parent-company score from another screen will not be printed here. The Xbox profile is the shelf that matters: ESG and identity programs cover the brand, a Pride merchandising and donation program pledged an extra $100,000 to LGBTQ organizations in June 2025, and 2024-cycle contributions ran roughly 84 percent to Democrats. Same band as Electronic Arts. Different company.
Nintendo of America scores 45, labeled woke. That is the lower household publisher number in this set, not a clean bill. The profile is inward HR programming, a 2024 Seattle Pride Parade sponsorship, no confirmed 2025 or 2026 sponsorship either way, no HRC Corporate Equality Index rating, and no corporate PAC. The head-to-head with EA is already published. Today is the news card, and the news card names the publisher at 80.
- Electronic Arts: 80, extremely woke, published. BioWare has no separate score.
- PlayStation: 90, extremely woke, published. Higher than EA, not a hideout.
- Xbox: 80, extremely woke, published. Same band. Its own row.
- Nintendo of America: 45, woke, published. Lower. Still woke.
Volume is not a receipt
Seven-day tab totals, for scale only: Woke Pulse at 1M, Boycott Tracker at 244.7K. Those are not EA's sales, not a dollar loss, and not a daily count. The chart skips a labeled October 26. That day's volume will not be invented, and an axis label will not be quoted as a boycott count. A shopper confrontation, a host fight over a checkout rule, and a school ranking were on the same sweep. They are not this story, and they do not get a score stapled to a BioWare headline.
What to do with the cart
If you waited on a press cycle to learn Electronic Arts was extremely woke, you waited past the file. IGN's October 23 post is the news: BioWare closing, the next Mass Effect canceled, fans asking for every EA product to be boycotted, 346.9K views. October 26 is the same claim at 93.9K. The 959.8K post states the shutdown, then spends the extra attention on a culture claim this page will not repeat.
Shop the scored shelf, not the loudest reply. The publisher, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo of America are linked above. Wider maps: Gaming and Interactive Entertainment and Video Game Brands. A category page is a map, not a substitute for the brand row.
Print 80. Do not print a BioWare score. Do not print a dollar loss. Do not merge 346.9K with 93.9K. The company closed a studio and canceled a sequel. The shopper still decides whether an 80 gets the next purchase.
