In Memory of Charlie Kirk: Choosing Humanity Over Hatred
Dear friends,
Last week, our nation lost Charlie Kirk, a husband, father, and prominent voice in American politics to an act of senseless violence. He was taken from this world while speaking to a crowd of young people, sharing his beliefs and participating in the open discourse that defines our democracy.
We are heartbroken. And we are grieving alongside his family, his loved ones, and the countless individuals who have been impacted by his words, his work, and his unwavering passion. No matter our personal politics, the loss of any human life in such a tragic and sudden way is a profound wound.
↗️ Rejecting Violence and Embracing Our Shared Humanity
Political differences will always exist — and they should. Healthy disagreement fuels growth, innovation, and accountability. But when those differences turn into hatred, and when hatred becomes violence, we all lose.
Violence silences conversations. It creates fear where there should be dialogue, and division where there should be connection. It robs children of their parents, parents of their children, and communities of their peace.
No cause, ideology, or disagreement justifies taking a life. If we forget that truth, we risk losing not just our compassion, but the very principles that bind us together as Americans.

At Buy Woke Free, we often talk about values — the ones we hold, and the ones we hope to see flourish in our communities. Today, those values call us to speak softly, listen more, and remember that behind every belief is a person.
We must be vigilant against the growing tide of extremism on all sides. When political discourse becomes so polarized that people see their neighbors as enemies, the consequences are devastating. We can resist that pull by choosing civility, practicing grace, and valuing people over politics.
If there is any way to honor Charlie’s life, it is by ensuring our disagreements never again end in tragedy.

Our hearts are with Erika, Charlie’s wife, and their young children as they navigate an unimaginable loss. We pray for comfort, strength, and healing for everyone mourning him right now.
In this moment of grief, may we choose unity. May we see each other as fellow human beings before we see each other as opponents. And may we recommit to building a future where our children inherit not our rage — but our hope.
