Is Sony Woke? A 14.4K-View Post, and the Score Is Still 80

By BuyWokeFree Editorial

14.4K views named Sony. The file already had a score.

On the October 7 Radar capture, @MasteroftheTDS posted about Miles Morales and Sony. The card read 44 replies, 118 reposts, 795 likes, and 14.4K views. The post says Sony reports 6.5 million, set against a claimed 65 million. Both figures are that post's line. Neither is a BuyWokeFree receipt. Do not quote 6.5 million as sales. Do not quote 65 million as sales. We do not have the document those numbers came from, and a reply thread is not a 10-K.

14.4K is a real view count. It is also a small one. The same capture put a Canada boycott post at 555.1K views and an Austin spending list at 321.4K views, 12.1K likes, and 3,978 reposts. Those two led the screen. Neither is a cart brand. Sony is. The post worth filing is the one with a published score, not the one with the biggest integer.

Sony scores 80. The label is extremely woke. The status is published. 80 is safe to print. The card is why Sony showed up today. The file is why the number matters.

What 80 is charging

The published summary is a list, not a mood. An 80 is not "kind of fine" because it missed 100. On this scale, 80 is extremely woke. The gap to a perfect score is one unconfirmed box, not a secret clean bill.

  • Sustainability reports. The writeup says annual reports reference GRI Standards and cover environmental footprint, governance, ethics, and supply chain.
  • DEI across divisions, not one poster in a lobby. Sony Music runs DEI initiatives. Sony Interactive Entertainment runs Diversity & Beyond. The parent company keeps diversity portals.
  • Pride sponsorships the file names: Tokyo Pride, San Diego Pride, and PRIDE@PlayStation, aimed at representation in games and inside the company.
  • Perfect HRC Corporate Equality Index scores. The writeup records 100 percent for Sony Electronics and for Sony Interactive Entertainment, and it records SIE as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ equality in 2025. That 2025 line lives in the published writeup. It is not a scrape we ran tonight, and the 14.4K-view post did not prove it.
  • Entertainment PAC giving. Sony Pictures and Sony Music PACs contribute to federal candidates. The entertainment industry has historically favored Democrats. The file does not hand over a verified 2026 dollar total. We will not invent one.
  • CEO Action: not confirmed. That missing confirmation is why the score stops at 80 instead of 100. We do not fill the blank to make a round number, and we do not drop the CEI because a game post was annoyed.

The writeup calls the Pride work notable for a Japanese-headquartered company. Read that as a note on the program, not a shot at anyone's passport. The decision on file is the sponsorship, the portals, and the CEI. Punch that. Leave the employees alone.

Microsoft is the comparison. It is not the same score.

Shoppers put Sony next to Microsoft. Microsoft scores 100, extremely woke, published. The summary hits all six dimensions: sustainability reports, a Global D&I division, Pride campaigns, a perfect CEI, more than $25 million in political spending, and CEO Action. Sony stops short of that last box. Both scores are high. They are not tied, and a console aisle does not merge them.

Do not drag the Gears card onto either row and call it an audit. That card, 142.9K views, says imagine burning over $200 million. The line belongs to @YorchTorchGames. It is not a verified loss. It is not a Sony figure. Microsoft is only the parent on that claim, and the game is not its own brand row. A claimed bomb does not change Microsoft's 100, and it does not become Sony's receipt because both companies sell consoles.

Leave the other cards on their own rows

Philadelphia City Council passed a resolution calling for a Starbucks boycott. The @6abc card shows 52 replies, 19 reposts, 79 likes, and 58.5K views. Starbucks scores 100, extremely woke, published. The 79 is likes. It is not a woke score, and it is not Sony's number. The makeup-and-lattes post on the same capture does not name Starbucks. Do not merge them. Do not call Philadelphia the first U.S. city to do this. The card does not say that, and it does not say union.

A few counts from this capture should not migrate into a Sony piece at all. United's boycott call has 5,378 likes and 70.7K views, names New Jersey, and never states a cause. That score is still a draft, so it stays off this page. Jaguar's unveil drew 97.5K views and 117 likes. That score is in content review. We are not printing it. Nickelodeon drew 128.6K views and 1,325 reposts, and Nickelodeon is not in the file. A parent-company review score does not transfer to the channel. Netflix shows up only in a 5,218-view aside next to Disney. We are not treating that aside as a live score.

The Canada post claims 71 percent of Canadians have boycotted U.S. products and travel for six months or more. That percentage is @HedyFry's claim. It is not a verified stat, and the post names no brand. Austin's card lists $880,000 for "Undoing racism training," $2.25 million for minority and women-owned business contracts, and $6.6 million-plus on deportation defense. Those are the post's figures, the fourth dollar amount is cut off, and Austin is a city, not a brand in this database. A country boycott and a city budget can lead the like count and still leave the cart empty.

How to shop after you have the number

If you landed here from the Miles Morales post, take the file with you. Sony at 80 is published. Microsoft at 100 is the published comparison on the other console. Starbucks at 100 sits on a separate boycott card, and its 79 likes are not a discount on that 100. None of those scores came from a reply thread. A 795-like argument about a decimal does not outrank a scored row.

Sony's primary category on our map is electronics. Start at Non-Woke Electronics Brands. That page includes small published names with low scores. Those shops are not a PlayStation replacement. Do not treat a one-point listing as the patriotic console. For the shelf people mean when they say electronics, open Non-Woke Consumer Electronics Brands. Gaming shoppers can use Non-Woke Gaming Brands and Non-Woke Video Game Brands. Sony operates as a conglomerate, so Non-Woke Conglomerate Brands is the family page even where the category map is thin.

Print 80. Attribute "Sony reports 6.5 million" to the post that wrote it. Do not upgrade it. Do not paste 555.1K views, 142.9K views, or 79 likes onto a company those cards did not score. The moat is the file. A small card can point at it. It cannot edit it.
